This coming weekend is the Shooting Sports camping trip. We will meeting at the church at 4:00PM Friday, in full uniform and with a sack dinner. Frank B, Shawn T and Depuity Gene L will supervise the three ranges at the Police Academy training range in Oglethorpe County with additional adult and senior scout assistance.

Scouts who don't have the Rifle merit badge will be working on that, with our good troop rifles. Scouts who have completed that badge can work on Shotgun MB or Archery MB. (Scouts may not bring their own firearms, except for shotguns, which will be turned over to Frank B before the trip.)

There will likely be "free shooting" opportunities on Sunday at these different ranges. No experience is necessary, and safety will be (as always) the top priority.

We expect to return my early afternoon on Sunday.
